Family internet, gently

A dimmer, not a switch.

Kinwings slowly winds the internet down at the hours your family agrees on — on Wi‑Fi and mobile data — so evenings end without the fight. We never read messages. Your kids know the rules.

iPhone · Android · Windows · Mac — at home, at a friend's, on mobile data.

Maya's phone · tonightEvening
21:30
Slow, with short pauses

Pages crawl, streams stall. Scrolling stops being worth it.

Always full speed: calls, texts to parents, maps, school apps.

Wings, not a watchtower.

Most parental apps sell more monitoring as more love. We think kids learn more from clear rules than from being read. So here is the deal, in writing.

What we never do

  • Read messages, chats or what your child types
  • Take screenshots or look at photos
  • Run in secret — your child sees the same rules and their own report
  • Sell, share or train ads on your family's data

What you do see

  • When the internet was used, and how much
  • Where your child is — and a note when something departs from the norms you set
  • Which friends from your trust circle they spent time with
  • A short weekly summary in plain words

How an evening works

The internet gets tired before your kids do.

No sudden cut-off, no slammed doors. Speed fades step by step, so scrolling quietly stops being worth it — and the habit forms on its own.

  1. 19:00
    Daytime · full speed

Homework, calls, videos — everything as usual.

  2. 20:30
    Dusk · lighter

Video drops to low quality. A gentle hint that the evening is turning.

  3. 21:30
    Evening · slow, with pauses

Pages crawl, streams stall now and then. Feels like weak signal, not a punishment.

  4. 22:00
    Night · messages only

A text to Mum still goes through. Everything else barely moves.

Works everywhere: home Wi‑Fi, mobile data, a friend's Wi‑Fi. No new router. No new phone. Can't be switched off quietly: without Kinwings the phone simply has no internet.

One rule. Two sides. No secrets.

You set the hours together on Sunday. Your child sees exactly what you see about their evening — and can ask for more time with one tap.

A good week earns a later wind-down. Rules that move with trust are rules kids keep.

Your internet slows at 21:00 tonight

Half an hour later than usual — nice week! You agreed to these hours on Sunday.

Calls and texts to Mum and Dad always work.

Peace of mind, not a map to stare at

Know they're okay — and who they're with.

You set what normal looks like: school, home, practice, back by nine. Kinwings stays quiet when the day goes as planned and speaks up only when it doesn't.

Gentle notes, not live tracking

Today · 14:35Maya left school at 14:10 and got home at 14:35.
Unusual · 23:10Leo is at an unfamiliar place, later than his usual evening.

Daily route on a map for 30 days, then it's gone. Your child sees the same map.

Trust circles

Invite the families of your kids' friends. When both sides agree, you'll see when the kids were together — without five parents in a group chat.

Maya was with Ava
15:30 – 17:10 · near Riverside Park
  • Both families agree; teens 13+ agree too
  • No distances, no other kids' routes
  • Leave anytime — shared history is deleted

A stabilizer, not scissors.

Every Sunday you get a short note about the week — written like a friend who noticed, not a dashboard full of alarms.

When a week drifts, Kinwings nudges the wind-down a little earlier. When it goes well, a little later. Always inside the limits you set.

Maya's weekSample report
  • Bedtime held on 5 of 7 nights. Thursday ran late — exam week?
  • Gaming was up on Saturday afternoon. Worth a chat, not a ban.
  • Next week's wind-down starts 15 min later on Friday — earned.

Questions parents ask

Can my child just turn it off?

They can try — but without Kinwings the phone has no internet at all, so there's nothing to gain. Setup is a one-time step on each device, and we guide you through it.

Do you see their messages or photos?

No. Never. We only see when the internet is used, how much, and which kinds of sites — not what's on them.

Does it work on mobile data, not just home Wi‑Fi?

Yes. The rules travel with the phone — home, school, a friend's house, anywhere with signal.

What if there's an emergency at night?

Phone calls and texts don't use the internet, so they always work. Messages to parents and maps stay at full speed in every mode.

How does pricing work?

$5 a month for the first child, $4 for the second, $3 for the third and $1 for every child after that — all their devices included. Pay yearly and get two months free. Every family starts with a free 14-day trial, no card needed.

What happens if I stop paying?

Your family's rules pause and your kids' internet keeps working normally. We remind you by email; nobody gets cut off because of a card that expired.

Does it replace Screen Time or Family Link?

It works alongside them, across iPhone and Android in the same family. Keep their app limits; Kinwings adds the gentle wind-down, location notes and trust circles.

Give evenings back to your family.

Try everything free for 14 days. No card needed — you pay only if it works for your family.
